November 24, 2017 by arundhatikher

DishTV, a unit of the Essel Group and Asia Pacific’s largest direct-to-home company is on a winning spree even in the year of 2017. Unveiling a list of exuberant offers all-round the year, the company has decided to end the year on a high note. With the launch of its festive offer – HD for all initiative, the company is in favor of completely eliminating the standard definition (SD) viewing quality with high definition (HD) view and providing the access not just on a DishTV new connection, but to its existing customers as well.

What’s so Different about the offer?

Practically speaking, with the introduction of this offer, DishTV has become the first direct-to-home service provider to offer HD channels to all its subscribers, both new and existing ones. The feature is yet to be unveiled, announced, and implemented by other competitive service providers in the market. The company’s new-generation cardless HD set-top box – DishNXT HD – supports this deal. Other DTH players, on the other hand, change an additional fee for subscribing to HD channels.

The main aim behind the introduction of this shift was to keep pace with the ever-evolving viewing quality standards and to bridge the gap between the SD and the HD subscribers in an effective manner. By presenting this deal, DishTV believes that it will enable its customers to enjoy high-quality picture without paying any extra penny from this pockets.

Extremely Low Priced Packages

Truth be told, this increased affinity, as per many industry veterans, will also upgrade the industry standards and work as benchmark set for other market players to follow or overachieve. It’s also in compliance with TRAI’s new issued orders. DishTV had, in its previous deal, ‘Mera Apna Pack’ allowed its customers to select their favorite HD channels at just Rs. 17 + GST. With this new offer, it has innovated its deal by providing HD channels with all its popular packs at a price as low as Rs. 169 + GST. Certainly something, any DTH company has never offered that in the past.

The Next-Gen Set-top Box

Highlighting the features of its next-gen cardless HD set top box, there’s no doubt that it offers five times better picture quality, an entirely new interface with quirky graphics and multilingual support that allow better user experience. The integrated cardless chip technology enables users to interact and even watch television in a smarter and better, enhanced manner. The cardless feature eliminates the chances of default, which were quite common with card enabled set-top boxes.

The Trendsetter

DishTV, with this major step has enabled an extravagant end-to-end entertainment experience, which shall leave a lasting impression on its users for many years to come. Such a step was also much awaited by the industry to match the first-world picture quality excellence and compete with their technological advancement.

A company insider shells out information that in the forth-coming five to six years DishTV, with this exclusive offer, aims to cater 30 million households apart from its current 12.8 million subscribers. This mark, if achieved, will set another record for other DTH market players to match.
