Editorial Policy
How we research, write, review, and maintain the content and tools on OurNetHelps, and the standards we hold for accuracy, privacy, and trust.
Effective Date: June 22, 2026
Our Mission
At OurNetHelps, our mission is to build reliable, accurate, and easy-to-use mortgage tools that help US brokers serve their clients and help home buyers understand their options. A calculator should do more than show a number. It should be clear, fast, and genuinely useful.
To keep OurNetHelps trustworthy and accurate, we follow a strict editorial policy built on in-house expertise and user privacy.
1. Tool Methodology
Our mortgage calculators and decision engines are built using standard mortgage formulas, publicly available lending guidelines, and practical mortgage-planning principles.
Before release, tools are tested across multiple loan scenarios, including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and refinance use cases where applicable.
We regularly review formulas, assumptions, and user feedback to improve clarity, usability, and accuracy.
2. How Our Content Is Created
All content published on OurNetHelps is:
- Researched and reviewed in-house: created from real research, practical experience, and verifiable data, and reviewed before publication.
- Fact-checked for accuracy: based on standard mortgage formulas, accepted US qualification guidelines, and reputable data sources.
- Built for users, not algorithms: every guide and tool follows a user-first approach that is clean, fast, and easy to understand.
- Continuously updated: we revisit formulas, tool outputs, and tutorials to stay aligned with current US lending standards, evolving browser technology, user feedback, and privacy requirements.
3. Content We Publish
OurNetHelps focuses on topics where we can contribute real expertise:
- Mortgage tools: decision engines, refinance analysis, and embeddable calculators for payment, affordability, and DTI.
- Broker and tool guides: how our tools work and how brokers can use them effectively. We do not publish general or news-based topics.
- Practical how-tos: step-by-step help for brokers and buyers who want to use the tools effectively.
4. Who We Help
Our tools and resources are built for:
- Mortgage brokers and loan officers: lead-capturing calculators and decision tools that run on their own websites.
- Home buyers and borrowers: clear estimates that show where they stand and what to ask their broker.
- Real estate professionals: simple, shareable tools that support client conversations.
Our goal is to make the mortgage process simpler, more transparent, and genuinely helpful.
5. Privacy & User Protection
We respect your privacy deeply. Therefore:
- Our free calculators run in the browser and do not store inputs or results.
- Our white-label tools include optional lead capture. When a buyer submits their details, that information goes only to the broker operating the tool.
- We do not sell user data or use hidden tracking.
- The free embeddable calculators require no login or sign-up.
For full details, please read our Privacy Policy. User trust is our top priority.
6. No External Submissions or Guest Posts
To protect content integrity and maintain quality control, we do not accept:
- Guest posts
- Sponsored posts
- Paid articles
- Link placements
- PR submissions
- “Write for us” contributions
- AI-generated bulk content from unknown sources
Our entire website is fully in-house. This lets us ensure every article, tool, and guide meets our accuracy and safety standards.
7. Why We Closed Article Submissions
In earlier years, OurNetHelps experimented with a submission form for guest posts. As our platform grew, we found that:
- External submissions reduced content consistency.
- Many submissions did not meet our accuracy or quality standards.
- Current search and spam policies discourage guest-posting networks.
To protect users and keep OurNetHelps a trusted platform, we officially closed all external submissions in November 2025. Today, all content is authored, reviewed, and published in-house.
Final Commitment
Our commitment is to remain:
- Useful
- Accurate
- Transparent
- Privacy-friendly
- Independent
- Broker-focused
By following strict editorial standards, we keep OurNetHelps a reliable, high-quality home for mortgage tools built for US brokers.
