How to Install MDE Pro on Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, and Custom Sites

MDE Pro works on Squarespace, Webflow, Wix, and custom-built sites. For Squarespace and Webflow, setup takes about five minutes and requires no coding once you have your embed code. Wix and custom-built sites each have a different approach described in their own sections below.

Before you start: You need your personal embed code from OurNetHelps before this guide applies. If you have not received it yet, email services@ournethelps.com to get your script tag.

How MDE Pro Works on Non-WordPress Sites

On WordPress, a plugin handles everything automatically. On Squarespace and Webflow, you do two things manually: add your script tag to your site’s global footer code once, then place a single container element on the page where you want the tool to appear. The script loads MDE Pro. The container tells it where to render. The tool only appears on pages where you have placed the container.

Wix has a different architecture explained in its own section. Custom-built sites follow the same two-step pattern as Squarespace and Webflow but may require someone with access to the site’s template files.

Two pieces, two places (Squarespace and Webflow)

Script tag: goes in your site’s global footer code once. Applies to every page automatically.

Container div: goes on whichever specific page you want the tool to appear. Add it to as many pages as you want.

What You Need Before You Start

Two things, both sent by OurNetHelps when your account is configured:

  • Your embed code: a script tag containing your unique broker key, name, phone, NMLS, and application URL. Every broker’s embed code is different.
  • The container div: one line of HTML you place on whichever page you want the tool to appear.

The container div is always the same for every broker:

<div id="onh-mde-container"></div>
Your embed code is unique to you

The script tag contains your unique broker key. This key is specific to your MDE Pro account and connects the tool to your broker profile and configuration. Every broker receives a different key.

Installing on Squarespace

🔶
Squarespace
Core plan or above required for Code Injection
Open Code Injection in your Squarespace dashboard

Log in to your Squarespace account. From the left sidebar, go to Settings, then Advanced, then Code Injection. This is where you add scripts that apply to your entire site.

Paste your script tag in the Footer field

You will see Header, Footer, and Order Confirmation fields. Paste your full MDE Pro script tag in the Footer field. Click Save. This adds the script to every page on your site automatically.

Place the container div on your chosen page

Edit the page where you want the tool to appear. Add a Code Block from the block menu. Paste the container div inside it and save the page.

Check the live published page

Squarespace previews may not render external scripts. Visit the live published URL directly in a browser to confirm the tool appears.

Squarespace plan requirement

Code Injection is available on Squarespace Core, Plus, Advanced, and some legacy plans. It is not available on the Basic plan. If you cannot find Code Injection in your dashboard, check your current plan on the Squarespace pricing page.

Installing on Webflow

🟦
Webflow
Active Webflow Site plan required for custom code
Open Project Settings in the Webflow Designer

In the Webflow Designer, click the gear icon to open Project Settings. Go to the Custom Code tab. You will see Head Code and Footer Code fields.

Paste your script tag in the Footer Code field

Paste your full MDE Pro script tag in the Footer Code field. Click Save Changes. This applies the script to every page on your site.

Place the container div on your chosen page

Navigate to the page where you want MDE Pro. Add an Embed element from the Add panel. Inside the embed element, paste the container div. Click Save and Close.

Publish your site and check the live page

Click Publish in the top right of the Designer. The Webflow preview inside the Designer does not run external scripts. Open the published URL in a browser to verify the tool appears.

Webflow plan requirement

Custom code in Webflow requires an active Webflow Site plan. Site plans are separate from Workspace plans and are billed per site. If the Custom Code tab is not visible in Project Settings, check that your site has an active Site plan under Site Settings, Plans.

Installing on Wix

🔵
Wix
Both pieces go inside one HTML embed element

Wix works differently from Squarespace and Webflow. Wix runs HTML embed elements inside sandboxed iframes, which means a script added to your site footer cannot reach a container div placed inside a separate HTML embed. Both the script tag and the container div must go inside the same HTML embed element on your chosen page.

Go to the page where you want MDE Pro

Open your Wix editor and navigate to the specific page where you want the tool to appear. Do not use Wix Dashboard Custom Code for this installation. Both pieces must be inside the same embed element on the page.

Add an HTML embed element to the page

Click the Add button in the Wix editor, go to Embed, and choose HTML iframe. An HTML embed element appears on the page. Click Enter Code to open the code editor.

Paste both the container div and your script tag inside the embed

Inside the code editor, paste both elements together. The container div goes first, then your script tag. Both must be inside this single embed element, not split between the embed and the site footer. Click Apply, then resize the embed element to fit the tool.

Publish your site and check the live page

Click Publish in the top right of the Wix editor. The tool will not appear in the Wix editor preview. Visit the live published URL to verify it is working.

<!-- Paste both pieces inside the Wix HTML embed element --> <div id="onh-mde-container"></div> <script src="YOUR-EMBED-URL-FROM-OURNETHELPS" data-broker-key="your-key" data-broker-name="Your Name" data-apply-url="https://your-application-url.com" data-broker-phone="(555) 000-0000" data-broker-nmls="123456" data-broker-email="you@yourdomain.com" data-broker-photo="https://..."> </script>
Do not split the two pieces on Wix

If you add the script tag to Wix Dashboard Custom Code and the container div to a separate HTML embed element, the tool will not appear. The parent page script cannot reach inside a sandboxed iframe. Both the script tag and the container div must be inside the same HTML embed element.

Installing on a Custom-Built Site

⬛
Custom HTML Site
Requires access to the site’s template files

Custom-built sites follow the same two-step approach as Squarespace and Webflow but require someone with access to the site’s template or layout files. If you built the site yourself or have a developer, the steps below apply. If neither is the case, email services@ournethelps.com and OurNetHelps will advise on the best path for your setup.

Add your script tag before the closing body tag in your global template

Open your site’s global template or layout file, the one that wraps every page. Paste your full MDE Pro script tag just before the closing </body> tag. This makes the script available on every page of your site.

Place the container div on your chosen page

Open the HTML file for the page where you want MDE Pro to appear. Paste the container div at the point in the page where you want the tool to render. Save and deploy the file.

Verifying It Is Working

After setting up on any platform, always verify MDE Pro on the live published page. Editor and preview environments may not behave exactly like the published site.

Open the live page URL in a browser

MDE Pro should appear where you placed the container, showing your name, photo, and NMLS in the header from the moment it loads. If the page is blank where the tool should be, confirm you published the page and that both pieces are present.

Run through the full assessment

Use realistic numbers across 8 questions in two sections: The Home (loan type, home price, down payment, interest rate, loan length) and Your Finances (household income, monthly debts, credit score range). No credit pull, no signup, no commitment required. Confirm your Readiness Score, Approval Likelihood with its four factor bars (DTI, credit, down payment, and cash flow), and the bridge CTA all appear correctly.

Check the Apply button destination

On the results screen, click Continue to Secure Mortgage Application and confirm it opens your correct application URL: Floify, Arive, LendingPad, Loanzify, PreApp 1003, Encompass, Blend, or your own custom form.

Check your private dashboard

Open the private dashboard URL OurNetHelps sent you. After running through the assessment yourself, the Tool Loaded and Started counts should increase. That confirms tracking is working correctly.

Everything is working if you see

The tool rendering on the page with your name, photo, and NMLS visible. The assessment completing with your Readiness Score and Approval Likelihood showing. The Apply button opening your application URL. Your dashboard counts updating after your test run.

Tool not showing? Check these first

You are looking at a preview, not the live published URL. You published the site after adding the code. Both pieces are present. On Wix: both pieces are inside the same HTML embed. The container div ID is exactly onh-mde-container with no typos. If all check out, email services@ournethelps.com with your site URL.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a developer to install MDE Pro on Squarespace or Webflow?
No. Both platforms have built-in custom code fields that do not require any coding knowledge. The steps in this guide use the standard interfaces of each platform. No file editing, no FTP, and no developer access is required for Squarespace or Webflow.
Why does Wix need a different setup from Squarespace and Webflow?
Wix runs HTML embed elements inside sandboxed iframes. A script added to the site footer cannot reach a container div placed inside a separate HTML embed element because they are in different documents. To work around this, both the MDE Pro script tag and the container div must go inside the same HTML embed element on the page.
Why is the tool not showing in my editor preview?
Editor and preview environments across Squarespace, Webflow, and Wix may not behave exactly like the published site. Always verify MDE Pro on the live published URL. If the tool does not appear in the editor, that is expected. Check the live page before assuming something is wrong.
Can I place the tool on more than one page?
Yes. On Squarespace and Webflow the script tag only needs to be added once in your site footer. To show the tool on additional pages, add the container div to each page. On Wix, add a separate HTML embed element with both pieces to each additional page. There is no extra charge for multiple pages.
I cannot find Code Injection in my Squarespace dashboard. What plan do I need?
Code Injection is available on Squarespace Core, Plus, Advanced, and some legacy billing plans. It is not available on the Basic plan. Check your current plan in your Squarespace account settings and upgrade if needed.
The Custom Code tab is not visible in my Webflow Project Settings. What is wrong?
Custom code in Webflow requires an active Webflow Site plan. Site plans are separate from Workspace plans and are purchased per site under Site Settings, Plans. If your site is on the free Starter plan, you will need to add a paid Site plan to access the Custom Code tab.
Will MDE Pro slow down my site?
The script tag adds a small external file request to your site footer. MDE Pro only renders the tool on pages where you have placed the container div. On pages without it, the script checks for the container and stops. The tool is built with vanilla JavaScript and has no external dependencies.
What happens to MDE Pro if I cancel my subscription?
The tool stops appearing on your site for new visitors automatically. You can remove the script tag and container from your site if you prefer a clean removal, but nothing breaks if you leave them in place after canceling.
